An unnecessary exercise

I did this in early 2005, and randomization is still fun, so I'm doing it again.  The deal is that I put my iTunes on shuffle and type up the first verse from whatever songs come up.  Not sure I'll bother doing 25 songs as before, but here's some:

(If you know the songs by their lyrics, write a comment and win praise?)

1. The circus is falling down on its knees
And the bigtop is crumbling down
It's raining here in Baltimore, 50 miles east
Where you should be, no one's around
I need a phone call
I need a plane ride
I need a sunburn
I need a phone call

2. Are you surprised it's me?
Hope I didn't wake anybody
Honey, please, wait up for me
I miss you more than I need sleep

3. I believed that someone'd take care of me tonight
As I walk into Dorian's, can you see it in my eyes?
My boots are on the mend, I lay walking home
Street tar in summer'll do a job on your soul

4. The Spanish girl pointed at me and said, "silencio"
Making a little gesture as if switching off a radio
Sliding her fingers 'cross her lips as if shutting a zipper
And I clearly got the message; I didn't need to ask her

5. It's cold, a plain diamond
nobody's here, just empty space
It's all moving, breathing
stuck to the ceiling, don't mean a thing
and what we had don't mean a thing
and what we had is already gone

6. You said move along, but it's hard to move along
When something's not right with my air
You said get along, but it's hard to get along
With what's going on over there

7. We went down to the May parade
Mumbled words under my breath
There is something I've been meaning to do
I've been dying to tell you
I've been so damn tired

8. I can name the people that know they don't know themselves
Without talking to nobody
I can count the people that know they want to fix themselves
Without taking my hands out of my pockets

I make these promises but all my promises hurt
Except they never get a liftoff
So if I'm being honest with you and it seems like I'm being cruel
At least you didn't get a rip off

9. Hey, little birdie, catching my eye
Sing little sweet things into this mind
And tug at my darker side

Fly to the bed where we are confined
Combing the cancers out of our lives
And harness your song with mine
And whose tongue gave you life but mine

10. Johnny take a walk with your sister the moon
Let her pale light in to fill up your room
You've been living underground
Eating from a can
You've been running away
From what you don't understand...
Love

She's slippy
You're sliding down
She'll be there when you hit the ground

I'm in!  It took me weeks to remember my password, and now I'm in.  And I forgot what I was going to say.

I really like my life.  It's affording me adventures quite consistently.

May, my favorite month.  May, also the month I leave college for good.  I don't graduate for another 18 days, so it seems unnatural that I don't have more than 3 class meetings left forever.  Of course this would be the semester that my professors would choose unanimously not to use any of the optional class periods of Monday-Wednesday of next week.  I think I had in mind that there was another full class week still left, so I feel like a week has been taken from me, like I've been asleep and everything else continued on.

There are many things I have always intended to do.  I really hope to do them all, but I know that loose ends are a part of life.  To be continued.
